I’ve been reading lots of articles that talk about resolutions, keeping resolutions, goal making, etc., so I believe I’ve got a good road map in my head and now to put it on paper. Lots of goal setting tippers and advisers talk about vision boards. This is where you put visual content and single words or phrases to signify your goals. I do have a bulletin board and I think I’m going to try this idea.
Blogging can also seem daunting. I often feel as though I don’t have anything to say that hasn’t already been said. Sometimes I often think that what I say might be too academic. This could just be me and my lack of confidence in myself. So as the Nike slogan goes … Just do it.
Another piece of advice is to think in baby steps, small obtainable goals for each week. For me, this would be one idea at a time. Often an idea that I want to blog about is interconnected to many other subjects and issues that my thoughts become convoluted. Then I give up and stop writing. ONE IDEA AT A TIME.
Outline. I remember learning outlining in grade school. I will use the outline as a tool for my ultimate goal of blogging once a week for a total of 52 weeks. This item will go on my vision board.
Lastly, this is my personal advice for my blogging goal, don’t try to be a perfectionist. This is the thing that stops me all the time. If I don’t think it’s perfect, I don’t post it.
DON’T BE A PERFECTIONIST … JUST DO IT … ONE IDEA AT A TIME
